Job requirements: We are keen to appoint an enthusiastic and dynamic professional to provide an advisory service to schools and other educational settings for children and young people with physical, medical and complex needs.
The successful candidate will work in partnership with schools, families and other professionals to support the delivery of a high quality service through a multi-agency approach that will promote the inclusion of children and young people through the effective and efficient use of resources.
The post holder will have responsibility for a caseload of children and young people with severe & complex needs from birth up to the age of twenty-five. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of creative problem solving in education and will work closely with settings and families to develop aspirational targets and optimise progress for the individual across all areas of development. The post holder will also be responsible for monitoring and the evaluation of provision across the borough.
In addition it is anticipated that the successful candidate will support the training needs of practitioners in schools and other educational settings as well as providing advice and guidance to parents and carers in relation to their child’s additional needs.
A teaching qualification is essential for this post.
