Independent Reviewing Officer
Permanent Post – Full Time
An opportunity has arisen for an Independent Reviewing Officer to join the Safeguarding and Quality assurance service.
The successful candidate will join the service at an exciting time as we work to really embed the role of the Independent Reviewing Officer with a clear focus on quality assuring and monitoring good quality Complex Child in Need meetings and Initial and Review Child Protection Conferences. You will work closely with the safeguarding conference chairs and support the work of the Fostering Reviewing officer. You will promote participation of all children and young people to ensure that they are fully engaged in the creation of all plans that relate to them.
You will be an experienced social worker with a good understanding of Care planning and safeguarding practice and procedures. You will be able to chair meetings effectively and to contribute to the quality assurance responsibilities of the unit whilst working with social workers to support them to create the best plans for children and young people who are subject to a child protection plan or complex child in need plan. You will develop meaningful records and be able to contribute to ongoing training and development of social workers.
