Residential Support Worker  

Fixed term contract up to 01/11/2020 

Cherry Road is a small children’s home located in Ainsdale that offers long term care for 2 children. We are a small dedicated staff team who are looking for someone to join us on a temporary basis for up to 12 months. You must hold a level 3 qualification in childcare and have experience of dealing with the challenges presented by children with emotional and behavioural problems. You must be flexible, as you will be required to work rostered shifts, including evenings, weekends and sleep-in duties.   

This is a challenging and demanding position that requires someone who is not only a good communicator but also has the skills to record accurately, both written and electronically, and shows a good understanding of risks presented by our children and how to manage these risks through sound decision making. We are seeking someone who demonstrates a good understanding of both attachment theories and full knowledge of the quality standards we are required to meet. They will be an organised team player who will complement the skills and practice of the whole team to ensure we continue to offer a high standard of care for our children to ensure they reach their full potential and are skilled to meet the demands of living independently.
