We are seeking enthusiastic candidates to contribute to improvements in building quality through the application of the Building Regulations and associated legislation.

As a Building Control Officer, you will be part of a Team of surveyors and will need to hold a relevant technical qualification (e.g. H.N.C or H.N.D or BTEC Higher National) or have a specific Building Control technical qualification or have demonstrable experience of working within the construction industry.

Your principal duties will include the inspection of site works and plan vetting, in order to ensure compliance with the Building Regulations, together with the assessment of dangerous structures.

The post will be based at our Magdalen House office in Bootle, although an agile working policy is in place. We offer flexible working hours, casual car user allowance and 28 days annual leave (rising to 33 days after 5 years service). Appointment within the salary range will be dependent on the knowledge, skills and competence of the applicants.
