Sefton Council is seeking an experienced person to lead and shape the future of Environmental and Licensing Services. The successful candidate  will be a positive, and enthusiastic leader with excellent knowledge, understanding and track record in delivering such services. They will put people at the heart of what we do and develop a culture of challenge, ownership, innovation, and improvement. The individual would work alongside the Environmental Health & Trading Standards Service Manager and report to the Assistant Director – Place, as part of the leadership team delivering a high-quality service across Highways & Public Protection.

The service delivers a range of important regulatory functions and works with residents and businesses to protect public health, safety and wellbeing against a range of potential risks. Key areas of responsibility will include Food and Safety; Pollution Control and air Quality; Local and Taxi Licensing.
