Senior Business Intelligence Officer (for Health Protection Covid-19 Response) –

Fixed Term 2 years

Sefton Council is seeking to recruit a Senior Business Intelligence Officer to provide analytical and intelligence support to the Public Health Covid-19 Response Team.

This is a new and exciting role for an experienced data analyst with knowledge and experience of working with Public Health and health protection issues to join a specialised multi-disciplinary team to meet the continuing challenges of Coronavirus by translate data into accessible information.

Previous experience of gathering, analysing and modelling structured, unstructured and geo-spatial data, with the goal of discovering useful information to support evidence-based decision-making and shape policy decisions is essential. Experience of population health intelligence, including the study and analysis of the distribution, patterns and determinants of health and disease conditions in defined populations is essential. Extensive experience of data analysis using MS Excel, MS Access, Business Objects, MapInfo and other analytics tools is also essential.

Candidates for this role must be able to develop constructive, working relationships with colleagues and professional peers working elsewhere in the Sefton and Merseyside response system, whilst also demonstrating the capacity and resilience to respond to new priorities, dealing with change, uncertainty and complexity.
