SEN Casework Officer

Full time Fixed Term for 1 year.

An opportunity has arisen to apply for a challenging and exciting position with SEND services in Sefton. If successful you will work as part of a supportive and talented team, seeking to meet the needs of Sefton children and Young People with SEND.

Job Purpose

To contribute to the processing of Annual Reviews of EHC plans for children and young people in accordance with the and the Children and Families Act 2014 and Special Educational Needs Code of Practice 2015.

To support the Lead SEN Officer in planning, delivering and monitoring the statutory assessment processes to ensure that Sefton pupils with SEN make good progress and that available resources are used effectively and efficiently

To ensure that SEN and inclusion services are delivered in line with the principles set out in clause 19 of the Children and Families Act 2014 with children, young people and their parents being supported to participate as fully as possible.
