Project Officer (Utility Management) Permanent – Full time

Description

A vacancy has arisen within the Council and will provide someone with an exciting opportunity to develop and deliver a range of energy & environmental initiatives with a focus on the utility management (energy & water).

You will play a key role within the Council’s Energy & Environmental Management Section and the wider Property Services division.

Your key areas of responsibility will include, carrying out assessments and audits, providing appropriate advice, developing project plans and delivering carbon/water saving projects in line with the Council’s climate change commitments. You will need to be aware of all applicable legislation, strategies and policies.

You will be expected to work with the other two project officers within the team to co-ordinate activities and will report to the EEMS Senior projects officer for Utilities.

You will need to have a flexible and positive approach to work, along with the necessary technical attributes. We require a strong commitment to customer care and the ability to work effectively as part of a busy team.

New project development will also be required, so a positive and innovative approach to project development and delivery is important. In addition, the post requires a variety of skills and experience as set out in the job description and person specification.
