Apprentice Centre Assistant x 1 (Based at Southport Library)
36 hours per week
Fixed term – 14 months
Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career. The programme provides work-based training to young people and adults who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.
The Atkinson is looking to recruit a Centre Assistant Apprentice who is committed and motivated to complete the Apprenticeship Programme.
Your duties will be to meet and greet visitors to Southport Library & Information Service based at The Atkinson and to provide excellent customer care. You will maintain a high quality and efficient standard of library service for all users, which will include all operational aspects of the library function. You will develop experience in administration and daily financial routines, maintain records, and promote stock and events. You will also develop a good working knowledge of what the Atkinson has to offer, alongside the local tourism and Sefton Council services.
The post will be based at The Atkinson, Lord Street, Southport, PR8 1DB
