Apprentice Ranger (Level 2)

Apprenticeships are high quality, work-based training programmes for people who want to develop their prospects and career. The programme provides work-based training to young people and adults who want to learn new skills and gain qualifications while working.

Green Sefton is looking for an Apprentice Ranger who is committed and motivated to complete the Apprenticeship Programme.

Your duties will include: supporting routine maintenance activities, working with members of the public, community/user groups to provide a high quality of maintenance to Sefton’s green spaces. This will include litter picking, sand clearance, using pedestrian mower, strimmer, brush cutter, hedge trimmer and blower and supporting sports turf management of golf courses, bowling greens and football pitches.

The post will be working boroughwide, with a base in either Crosby, Ainsdale or Southport

Closing date – Friday 27th September 2019

Initial Assessments – Monday 7th October 2019

Interviews – Thursday 24th October 2019
