Sefton Council is recruiting a Designated Officer for the Local Authority

The post carries out statutory functions to ensure that organisations respond to allegations against those working with children, in accordance with relevant procedures. The role involves co-ordinating an appropriate response when allegations occur, providing advice to partner agencies and chairing complex multi agency meetings.

In addition, the post holder will deliver training and briefings to the multi-agency partnership in Sefton.

The successful candidate must be Social Work qualified and have experience of multi-agency working.

The post holder will be effective at working in a performance, target and deadline driven environment and have excellent decision making and interpersonal skills.

The post holder will be required to work 36 hours per week. across all 5 days of the working week (Monday – Friday).
