Introducing ourselves

Sefton Community Learning Service based at the Cambridge Road Adult Learning Centre in Seaforth delivers a range of low level introductory courses and qualifications to residents in Sefton. The Service part of Sefton Council is funded by Liverpool City Region to deliver programmes of learning which will lead learners into other learning, volunteering or employment.

Job requirements

Are you a tutor looking for an exciting new challenge? Do you have a passion for digital and innovative technology?

The candidate applying for the post should be a hardworking professional ICT tutor, committed to thorough lesson planning, enthusiastic delivery and careful assessment

As an ICT tutor, you will be delivering scheduled courses, focused on digital learning skills, to public and business professionals within both the public and private sector.

You will be supporting learners by providing regular assessment and feedback. You will have experience of delivering in the digital world - and be able to provide real life examples of how you have used innovation and technology to inspire in a classroom environment.

To drive meaningful digital transformation and meet the skills requirements of our changing labour market to plan develop and deliver education programmes aimed at gaining improved prospects in employment, volunteering or further education via being able to demonstrate digital understanding and experience through development and implementation of a digital passport.

To develop learning opportunities that enable access to a wide range of innovative technology used within modern industry IT solutions and wider society. Delivery of digital training opportunities and development of a learner digital passport that will be linked directly to labour market demands.

This role may involve occasional working ‘out of hours’ and weekends, and will report directly to the Community Learning Manager.

This role is subject to Satisfactory DBS clearance and safeguarding checks.

This post is subject to Local Government Pension Scheme.
