Sefton Community Learning Service based at the Cambridge Road Adult Learning Centre in Seaforth delivers a range of low level introductory courses and qualifications to residents in Sefton. The Service part of Sefton Council is funded by Liverpool City Region to deliver programmes of learning which will lead learners into other learning, volunteering or employment.
The candidate applying for the post should be a hardworking professional ICT tutor, committed to thorough lesson planning, enthusiastic delivery and careful assessment
The ideal ICT tutor will be someone who has a real passion for the subject and wants to engage students by providing them with excellent lessons that will inspire and motivate them in the subject. Work as part of ICT team, to support the development and implementation of technical solutions to support the services vision of providing flexible blended learning opportunities across all curriculums.
A strong educational background and the ability to recognise and track learner progression ensuring learners have clear pathways into their desired outcomes.
Develop strong links with external organisations and partner organisations to maximise learner recruitment and progression opportunities.
Work within current curriculum links to promote high levels of upward internal progression between the levels. Effectively support and monitor/record learner’s progression onto further education, volunteering and or employment.
This role may involve occasional working ‘out of hours’ and weekends, and will report directly to the Community Learning Manager.
This role is subject to Satisfactory DBS clearance and safeguarding checks.
