Sefton Safeguarding Partners are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and creative Learning and Development Officer.
You will be the lead officer for the the development, implementation and maintenance of the training strategy, to meet the needs of the children’s workforce on behalf of Sefton LSCB. You will contribute to the review of the strategy in line with other strategies and statutory requirements.
The role will provide an opportunity to proactively and creatively communicate lessons from child safeguarding reviews, as well as to cascade learning from national and local research, audit and policy.
Excellent presentation skills and the ability to enthuse and motivate a wide range of professionals is required. The ability to develop mechanisms to evaluate the impact of training will also be an advantage.
A professional qualification relevant to the post is essential, for example, social work or training.
Appointment is subject to a satisfactory enhanced disclosure from the Disclosure and Barring Service.
