Casual Lead Coach (Watersports & Adventurous Activities)

We are looking for an enthusiastic coach who has the passion and skill to develop a team of instructors. Working within the unique setting of Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre the Lead Coach position is more than merely supervising coaches, this position allows for the post holder to play a pivotal role in the development and delivery of activities within this varied and cultured activities centre.

You must be an excellent communicator and possess the interpersonal skills required to liaise with clients from across the region. You must be able to manage and motivate people to deliver the programmes at the Centre. The post holder must be in possession of both a valid BCU – UKCC L2 Coaching certificate and RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor Certificate plus one of the following, Climbing, Windsurf or Powerboat Instructors certificates. Within this role you will be responsible for adopting a mentoring style approach to aide in the development of our instructor team.

In addition to overseeing activities and coach development at times you will also be undertaking a hospitality supervisory role, part of the role allows for experience to be gained within the hospitality industry as you will be ensuring the smooth day to day operation of all areas within the building.

Our staff are very important to us and as part of the team you will receive opportunities to develop your personal and coaching skills in a variety of watersports & adventurous activities with the coach educators based at the Centre.

You must be an excellent communicator and possess the interpersonal skills required to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders from across the council.
