About the Role

As a Casual Deputy Registrar, you will carry out a range of statutory duties, including registering marriages and civil partnerships and conducting ceremonies at a variety of venues across Sefton.  You will ensure all registrations and ceremonies are delivered in accordance with legislation while providing a professional, welcoming and high-quality service to our customers.

The role requires you to interpret and apply registration legislation accurately, maintain detailed records, and manage administrative processes associated with the registration service. You will work closely with colleagues and customers, often supporting people during significant life events, requiring professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail.

The role is primarily weekend and out of hours, reflecting the demand for ceremonies. However, you will also be required to provide weekday cover for ceremonies as needed, offering flexibility to support the needs of the service.
