This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in co-ordinating and processing permit applications to minimize disruption of the highway.

You will provide support to the Permit Co-ordinator, managing an increasing number of permit applications for the benefit of our residents and visitors.

The key responsibilities include:

  • Processing permit applications within the required timescales.
  • Responding to written and verbal communications from Statutory Undertakers, ensuring the best outcomes for the Authority and its highway users.
  • Processing road closures using a dedicated software system.
  • Processing and responding to challenges in relation to Fixed Penalty Notices (FPN’s)
  • Being Proficient in the use of the Microsoft Office package including Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.

This role suits someone with a basic understanding of streetworks legislation and processes, who has strong verbal and written communications skills and is keen to make a difference working in a busy office environment.
