DoLS Co-ordinator Vacancy - Maternity Cover for a period of 9 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Deprivation of Liberty team within Adult Social Care.
The team carries out assessments to Adult Social Care service users. The main role of the Co-Ordinator:
- Provide administrative support to our busy DoLS Assessment Team including liaising with Doctors, Care Home Managers, hospital teams, carer’s and family members.
- Respond to telephone queries from individuals or adult social care staff on matters relating to individual client cases.
- Processing incoming and outgoing documents for the purpose of DoLS assessments/authorisation.
- Support colleagues within the team with duty support and liaison.
- Update IT systems and spreadsheets for the purpose of DoLS
Excellent organisational skills and an ability to plan and prioritise work are an essential requirement of this post. The successful applicant will have experience of working with Microsoft Office products, and an ability to learn new IT systems. We are looking for an applicant who has excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to good customer relationships as you will be dealing with Sefton residents and liaising with partner agencies.
You must have experience of delivering a customer-focused service and be able to communicate with vulnerable adults, as well as building partnerships with internal and external agencies.
We are looking for candidates who are self-motivated, can demonstrate a flexible and positive attitude and an ability to work on their own initiative.
