An exciting opportunity has arisen within Sefton Council for a full-time Fitness Instructor to join our team at Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre – a vibrant hub featuring a fitness suite, two studios, water sports facilities, meeting spaces, and our unique Bunk Barn accommodation.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate fitness who enjoys working as part of a dynamic team. You will play a key role in supporting, motivating, and ensuring the safety of our members and visitors, helping them achieve their fitness goals and enjoy their experience.

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver health checks and inductions
  • Prescribe safe and effective fitness programmes tailored to individual needs.
  • Maintain a strong presence on the gym floor, assisting members with correct equipment use.
  • Lead and teach small group exercise classes.
  • Promote membership sales and retention through excellent customer engagement.
  • Actively encourage participation in gym floor classes and support members throughout their fitness journey.

What We’re Looking For

  • Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification (essential) – with ambition to progress to Level 3.
  • Current First Aid certificate (desirable).
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm for fitness, passion for results, and a drive to help people change their lives.
  • Knowledge of the latest fitness trends and health strategies.
  • Commitment to Health & Safety standards.

This role requires an Enhanced DBS check.
