An exciting and permanent opportunity has arisen within the My Space team for the role of Missing from Home Intervention worker. The My SPACE team is based in Sefton and its priority is to support and help children who are at risk of exploitation (criminal and sexual) and who go missing from home.

Your role as the Missing from Home Intervention worker,  will be to visit children (within 72 hours) who have gone missing from home and offer Return Home Conversations which are trauma informed and child centred.  The aim of the Return Home Conversations is to gain insight into the child’s experience when they have gone missing and explore reasons as to why and to develop safety planning to prevent future missing episodes occurring.

Other aspects of your role will include safe and well visits / keeping in touch visits for children who experience Missing from Home episodes.

For this post you must have experience in engaging children and young people, sound knowledge of Missing from home and a firm understanding of push and pull factors .
