Assistant Coach Casual – Permanent. Part Time: Seasonal. Sefton Council, Merseyside. Salary: Grade B, Scale Point 2, £23,656 (£12.60) Pro Rata (pay award pending).

An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are looking to recruit casual Assistant Sports Coaches for the Active Sports team. To deliver a wide range of sport and physical activity sessions to different audiences across Sefton, including school holiday activity, family sessions and adult programmes.

As a member of the coaching team, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality courses, coaching activity sessions, and the provision of the Be Active and Park night programmes. Ensuring the safety of all participants, customers, and staff is paramount. We are looking for enthusiastic coaches, who are passionate about the benefits of the physical activity experience. As a member of staff and a key part of the delivery team, you are especially important to us and there will be opportunities to develop your personal and coaching skills in a variety of activities/sports. 

The successful candidates must display a passion for sport and physical activity, and it is desirable to be a qualified instructor in at least one sport to be an assistant coach and essential to be a lead coach. We our looking for enthusiastic, motivated individuals who will be committed to always delivering the best service to our users. You must be an excellent communicator, a skilled coach, able to adapt your style to work with different age groups and the diverse variety of people from across our region and beyond.

The post includes evenings and weekend work.
