An exciting opportunity has arisen working with the Aiming High Short Breaks team.

The purpose of the role is to supervise and direct staff and volunteers to ensure delivery of 1:1 and group work sessions for children and young people with disabilities.

You will follow individual care plans and assessments of need and risk.  You will lead and assist in the administration of personal care and medication.  You will assist in the evaluation of programmes and sessions.

You will have a level 3 childcare qualification or equivalent qualification or experience at an equivalent level.

You will have significant experience planning, leading and reviewing activity sessions with children and young people with disabilities.

You will have good communication skills and an ability to build good relationships with children and young people and their families.

You will have a good knowledge of child safeguarding issues and the relevant procedures, risk assessments and health safety.

You will be willing to undertake relevant training commensurate with the post including Paediatric First Aid, moving and handling, disability awareness, medication administration, information compliance, child safeguarding
