The quality and compliance officer apposition is a challenging and rewarding role. The role requires officers to work with commissioned providers to maintain safe services within a continuous quality improvement approach.
The role includes undertaking onsite visits and virtual audits, in line with the council’s quality and compliance frameworks to ensure best outcomes for people who use services and to ensure the commissioning of high quality and best value services by the council.
The role will incorporate attending relevant meetings including safeguarding strategy meetings, investigating complaints, data analysis, report writing, and the development, monitoring and evaluating key performance indicators in place for services.
This will be enabled through building of relationships with external partners, such as providers, Health and the Care Quality Commission. he post also requires collaboration with internal partners, managing, and escalating risk and developing the market to meet the ongoing challenges within adult social care.
The quality and compliance team are part of an integrated and overarching strategic commissioning and transformation function and is a key relationship holder for over 300 adult social care commissioned services across Sefton with an important level of responsibility and accountability.
