Lead Practitioner post
Sefton Council Adult Social Care department are looking to recruit a permanent Full Time Lead Practitioner to join the DoLS team.
The Lead Practitioner will be Social Work/Best Interest Assessor trained.
This is a unique opportunity for a Lead Practitioner to support ASC department in meeting our statutory responsibilities.
The Role :-
To provide support and supervision to a team of SW/BIA. The individual will be responsible for the allocation of urgent and non-urgent Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards applications received from hospitals, care homes and community settings. The LP will have experience of supervising staff and a good working knowledge of the DoLS Code of Practice- and Court of Protection process. The focus of this role will be to support the increase in demand of DoLS applications following the Cheshire West Judgement 2014.
Qualification and Experience
You must be a qualified SW/BIA with experience in this field as well as experience of supervising Social Work staff.
This position will be on a permanent basis.
