CROSBY LAKESIDE
An exciting opportunity has arisen as we are looking to recruit a Lead Coach, to oversee the delivery of watersports and land-based outdoor adventurous activities and courses at the newly refurbished Crosby Lakeside. Consisting of a 78-acre marine lake, a health and fitness suite, two fitness studios, meeting rooms and the recently opened Bunk Barn, which is our exciting new onsite residential accommodation space for schools and organisations to stay. As well as being next door to the recently opened Lake House, this facility is one of Sefton’s primary assets situated in the stunning Crosby Coastal Park area of Sefton.
As a Lead Coach, you will play a key role in overseeing and planning the delivery of high-quality courses, coaching activity sessions, maintenance, and the provision of our pay & play hire by the centre’s instructors. We are looking for an enthusiastic coach who has the passion and skill to continue to help develop the centre and a team of instructors.
The post involves the delivery of sessions, overseeing staff delivering activities, pay & play, and coach mentoring and at times you may also be undertaking a general building supervisory role; part of the role allows for experience to be gained within the leisure management industry as you will be ensuring the smooth day to day operation of all areas within the building.
The successful candidates must possess a passion for watersports and land-based activities. You must be an excellent communicator and possess the interpersonal skills required to consult with a wide range of clients from across the region. You must be able to lead, manage and motivate a team of instructors to deliver all aspects of the centre’s activity programmes. We are looking for an experienced coach, ideally in possession of an RYA Senior Dinghy Instructor certificate along with other awards e.g., paddlesport coach, windsurf, or powerboat Instructor certificate.
The post includes evenings and weekend work.
