Sefton Catering Service provides high quality catering to schools throughout Sefton.

We are committed to making sure our school lunches are tasty and nutritious, as we believe that school food is closely linked to pupil behaviour and educational attainment.

Job Requirements

We are looking to recruit suitably qualified persons to cover cook in charge positions around the borough.

The successful candidate will receive full training within the school meals service and be based in one kitchen, covering when and where required.

Candidates should have good cooking, presentation, and communication skills.

You will be required to attend a half day course to achieve a level 2 award in food safety every three years. (This course is being undertaken online at present) (Every 3 years)

Due to the nature of the work, this post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and the successful candidate must be able to obtain a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure (via the Disclosure & Barring Service DBS) in order to be appointed to the post.
