Applications are invited for the post of Learning and Development Officer.
The overarching responsibility is to develop and sustain a Learning and Development (L&D) strategy primarily for the Children’s Services workforce that equips managers and employees with appropriate skills, knowledge, and behaviours relevant to their job roles. This will include the commissioning of external training provision for the Adult and Children’s workforce as and when required.
The successful candidate will plan, design, develop and deliver a broad range of L&D initiatives to meet specified learning outcomes. This also includes supporting teams with cultural change initiatives to accelerate growth and employee engagement, which includes working closely with management to drive forward and sustain any new models of practice.
The development of positive and productive working relationships both internally and externally will be key, including working with colleagues to co-produce and develop initiatives that are linked to the strategic priorities of the service.
In addition to the above, there will also be an opportunity to take an active role in supporting organisation-wide learning and development programmes as directed by the Workforce Learning and Development Manager.
The post holder will work within a competent, experienced, and enthusiastic team, based at the Corporate Learning Centre in Ainsdale, including opportunities for agile working. The team are committed to an ethos of continuous improvement and delivering effective and efficient outcomes for our workforce.
This is both a demanding and hugely rewarding role and one that will bring immense job satisfaction to the successful applicant.
