Finance Assistant

Community Equipment Stores, Aintree

Hours per week: 36 on a full-time permanent contract Mon – Friday.

The Community Equipment Service provides equipment to aid daily living and nursing equipment to people in need living in the Sefton geographical area. The postholder will assist in providing an effective and efficient equipment loan service to disabled people of all ages, including children, to support them in developing their full potential and maintaining their health and independence.

The postholder will be a member of the finance team. Duties include utilising and maintaining all budgetary and financial systems in line with the Council’s financial regulations, This includes using an electronic procurement system to raise and process purchase orders. The service utilises an asset management database and the successful candidate will be required to run and analyse reports relating to stock levels and performance. The role includes providing administrative support to specialist teams of health professionals and the postholder will be required to attend their meetings. The Equipment Service is a busy department with a speedy turnaround of orders and the post offers a varied and busy role.

The successful candidate must be motivated and committed, with a range of skills and experience to strengthen an established team. In exchange we can offer:
