Working as part of Civic & Mayoral Services, this role will provide holiday and sickness cover the main Mayoral Attendant.
You will support the Mayor at all functions including researching the venue they will be visiting, preparing the route and transporting them to the venue safely. You will also assist with the civic functions, the Civic Regalia and Mayoral Chains and maintain the Mayoral vehicle and Mayoral areas to a high standard.
Mayoral Attendants are responsible for ensuring the Mayor of Sefton, the Borough’s “First Citizen”, arrives at his/her engagements on time and in a manner befitting the Office.
During cover times the hours could include working weekends and evenings; and are potentially long and unsociable.
