Office Administrator – Full time - Term Time Only (plus 5 additional days)

Complementary Education Service

The Complementary Education Service support schools in ensuring that they are meeting their responsibilities in providing a statutory teaching entitlement for pupils who cannot attend due to illness or during a maternity leave.

In partnership with outside agencies, schools and families, we strive to raise levels of achievement for vulnerable groups to enable them to access education, and achieve their full potential.

The Service has oversight of and provides support for home educating families. We also offer support and advice to schools in raising the achievement of Minority Ethnic, Traveller, Asylum Seeker and bilingual pupils.

This is a permanent position offering 36 hours per week term time only plus five additional days to be worked flexibly.

We are looking to appoint a suitably experienced administrator who can demonstrate:

  • Commitment to promoting the vision and values of the Service
  • An enthusiastic, professional and approachable response as first point of contact for visitors
  • Flexibility, excellent organisational skills and an ability to multitask under pressure
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Effective and efficient use of IT skills
  • Commitment in ensuring sensitive information is treated with confidentiality
