&lt;p&gt;Green Sefton are looking to recruit a Grounds Maintenance Apprentice who is committed and motivated to complete the 28 month programme.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Your main duties will include routine maintenance activities such as grass cutting, cleansing of litter, shrub and hedge maintenance, seasonal bedding, path sweeping and supporting Community groups, to provide a high quality of maintenance to Sefton’s green spaces.&lt;/p&gt;

The centre operates a 25-metre traditional pool and a leisure pool with flume ride and rapids.&amp;nbsp; Facilities include a sauna and steam room on the poolside, 4 court sports hall, large fitness suite with Synrgy training zone, free weight area, group fitness and virtual training.&amp;nbsp; Refurbished wet side changing area with large family changing cubicles, private showers, improved access to the pool, positive imaginary, pool side music and light system.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;As a member of the Operations management team, you will play a key role in ensuring that we meet the ever-increasing expectations of our customers.&amp;nbsp; You will ensure that the centre operates to the highest standards, in the most efficient and effective way possible. To make this happen we want to attract self-motivated people who have vision, flair, and a desire to succeed.&amp;nbsp; We want our managers to be leaders, to have inspirational personalities, to share our eye for attention to detail and be reliable in their daily duties. The post involves the supervision of staff and be able to maintain good staff discipline to ensure that staff carry out their duties to a high professional standard. &lt;p&gt;This post is critical to the successful operation of Bootle leisure centre, experience of working at this level in a busy leisure environment is desirable.&amp;nbsp; Key roles and responsibilities of the post will include the day-to-day management of the facility covering all personnel, health and safety, reactive and planned maintenance, pool plant procedures and ensuring that all financial procedures are followed and that all aspects of the site are always adequately covered by fully trained staff.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This Post will involve evening and every other weekend work, which will be integrated into the operational rota.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;To work as a member of a team to collect a range of household and commercial waste (residual, recycling, garden, bulky household waste, clinical) which may be contained within varying receptacles such as domestic wheelie bins, commercial waste bins, sacks.&amp;nbsp; Undertake cleansing activities as required such as litter, detritus, weed and fly tipping removal.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Will be required to work in any area of the Borough, maintaining optimum cleanliness, operating equipment as necessary – training will be provided.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;MAIN DUTIES:&lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Drive and take responsibility for the assigned vehicle (C licence over 7.5 tonnes gross vehicle weight) and operate any power mechanisms as appropriate.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Clean the vehicle to the required standard, undertake regular vehicle checks (and ancillary equipment checks were appropriate), and carry out routine maintenance (see specific details on Driver’s Checklist)&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Report any vehicle defects or accidents immediately to the appropriate person.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Load and unload the vehicle, using mechanical aids as necessary and ensure sufficient supplies and equipment are loaded onto the vehicle daily/weekly.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Ensure that crew members adhere to operational requirements i.e. Wearing of personal protective equipment.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;As a member of the coaching team, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality sessions and courses, and the facilitation of our Pay &amp; Play hire. In addition to activity delivery, you will be required to assist in the general running of a busy leisure and outdoor activity Centre eg equipment storage and maintenance.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/p&gt;

Excellent interpersonal skills are essential allowing you to deal with customers in a caring, friendly and professional manner.  Ideally you will have an enthusiasm for fitness, a passion for results and the drive to help people change their lives.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The role is to conduct health checks, inductions, run synrgy classes and prescribe safe and effective programmes for member and users.  To provide a presence on the gym floor and be available at all times to assist customers with their exercise programmes and ensure that they are using the equipment correctly. The positions will also involve membership sales and retention, actively promoting and encouraging customers and visitors to join as full paying members.  Member interaction and retention initiatives are key indicators within our business, and you will need to demonstrate skills in these areas.  The ideal candidates will have the ability to teach small group classes.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Qualifications &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;This position requires a Level 2 Gym Instructor Certificate, with the desire to work toward Level 3 and a current first aid at work certificate would be desirable. &lt;/p&gt;
